Does the sound of cricket-y things, myriads of park trees and camp tents inspire a coffee in the wild?
It does for the director Jean-Marc Vallée, writer Nick Hornby and original author Cheryl Strayed of “Wild”, the film in which Reese Witherspoon plays Cheryl, a woman seeking to give her life restored meaning by hiking the Pacific Northwest’s Crest trail without outdoors experience and a backpack of will.
While on her hike of the Pacific Crest Trail she encounters many characters, one being a man who brings her In one of the most romantic and iconic comfort pairings in coffee culture – coffee and a donut.
As she holds her mug in the below clip, while wearing a UC Berkeley shirt, she says speaking of herself in the third person, “your majesty doesn’t typically go for refills, refills go to her.” How do you like your coffee when in the wild?
