Let’s do lunch. Or, coffee.
Growing up in L.A., the first was a saying I grew up hearing. And, an activity I often did. After all, in the land of Los Angeles -where film and Hollywood lives – its one of those cultural sayings that is also a real occurrence.
For twenty years, The Los Angeles Film Festival (LAFF) produced by Film Independent, is “a non-profit arts organization dedicated to promoting and supporting independent films and filmmakers that embody diversity, innovation and uniqueness of vision,”according to the organization.
This year, nearly 200 features, shorts and music videos from 40 countries.are part of the festivals curation giving reason for rolling out the red carpet for some of the nations most intriguing filmmakers.
Some of the figures include; director, Jonathan Dayton & Valerie Faris (Little Miss Sunshine, Ruby Sparks), actors Alfred Molina (An Education, Spider-Man 2), Olivia Munn (The Newsroom, Magic Mike), composer ohn Ottman (X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Usual Suspects) and screenwriter Susannah Grant (The Soloist, Erin Brockovich).
Will there be coffee there too? But, of course. Film Independent informed us that Luxe Hotel, the location of the films talk will provide the coffee. Well, with that known and four talks at the ready! #cupUp
