People make style go ’round.
“People make this space, people make the spirit.” Leslie Koch at the New York Creative Mornings. [8.9]
This series documenting coffee x creative mornings – the monthly breakfast series created by Tina Roth Eisenberg – continued with August’s theme of Urbanism. It occurred on Governors Island, the most appropriate space to hear how the ideas about the character of a people -New Yorkers- is affecting the cartography of the island’s development.
With a cloudy day as the horizon, intermittent drizzle and humidity at a high, the people of New York traveled to Governors Islands via its Ferry. The islands wet asphalt, oatmeal colored sand and light kale grass were all physical elements calling for attention to the feet of creative urbanites, proving, “where there is coffee, there is style.”
