As the art historian and curator made way to the counter for a slice of what I just finished – the rhubarb almond pie – I was having a moment with her bangs bangs. We thought we knew each other, perhaps we did, if even by our taste. When she expressed, “Thanks for the mood-lift!” I knew it wasn’t the pie talking.
