fan the art
The wind knows Austin Willis well. So does the journey of being an artist. There’s this wiry independence about Austin that comforts and unsettles at the same time. He lives his life as he is, not what he is and reminds those that come onto his concrete path that being an artist is not just important to him, it is him. To be around him is as if a Vic Mensa lyric – Coffee and Cigarettes – was sipping on tea. Forever fanning the paint, he’s drying works as much as he’s letting his self age with time.
He drinks tea, twice a day, “its calming for me and helps me maintain balance in my health. I love how tea can bring people together, like my times spent in Morocco.”
