ONE: Saturday was National Record Store Day. Jack White released the studio version of “Lazaretto” and performed it live in Nashville at Third Man Records. It was the fastest record day release ever and the song he performed LIVE just happened to include coffee. Once you get over White’s guitar introduction that is straight genius x bananas , tune your ear to his lyrics on the second verse at about 56 seconds.Cue in to his release at 56 seconds and hear, “making models out of people I used to know, out of coffee and cotton.”

TWO: If coffee, tacos, waves and a cool breeze were on a mid-week invite to a 240 foot space would you go? Announced yesterday, and happening Wednesday, the opening of Black Top Coffee by Tyler Wells is such the invite. All four players are going down starting at 7. Be there!

THREE: Coffeechella: Music and Art got a little coffee spoiling Friday through Sunday with a half of dozen coffee companies making cameos at the second and last week of Coachella.

Elabrew led the restorative caffeinated charge for the second year in the row in Lot 8, in the main campgrounds, carrying Kuma and Ritual, giving out zines, selling tees and bandannas.  Civil Coffee purveyed Stumptown Coffee Roasters in a yurt alongside Portland’s Salt and Straw – the Bourbon Coffee Ice Cream was an ideal way to take a breather after enjoying the energetic DJ’s nearby at The Do Lab space. Finally, JavaGoGo, using Equal Exchange beans covered perimeters adjacent to the Main Festival Stage and the Outdoor Stages. What an epic showing by all. #cupUp
