SAT | Fort Lauderdale, Florida | Switch!

Switch what you might think about coffee in Florida beyond Miami. Today, SwitchBox Coffee Roasters opens as part of the South Florida Food Festival. There’s going to be plenty of coffee, free funky Buddha beer samples and grilled food. Nice pairing, don’t you think?

NOW | Seattle, Wa  | Nordic now

Great things come into small packages.  That small package is a Nordic cafe, outfitting its ethos inside the Old Ballard Liquor Company. Locals looking for a fika in true Swedish style can explore the 12 seat cafe – an offshoot take Tumble Swede which she also fronts. Break here with traditional Scandinavian aquavit.

NOW | Amsterdam | Suit and Spro

Illustrated prints line the wall of Amsterdam’s Suit Amsterdam, a destination for men and women to find more than suits, lifestyle goods, art and coffee. Speaking of the ladder, entry into the store leads into a new station of green walled, sectioned tile where the new espresso bar acts as an island of impending coffee goodness. Grab your coffee.

SUN | TV Land | Sundays with coffee

A coffee order shouldn’t be complicated, right? Jim Gaffigan of the Jim Gaffigan Show takes a shot – no pun intended – at ordering coffee in Brooklyn. Teasing as the show teaser does, a red eye may not be as simple as it seems. Catch the next episode tonight at 10/9 c on TV Land. Hint: Red eye.
