While Frank Serpico is a historical figure, on screen and off, so is espresso. I find it quite pleasing that when Serpico does drink espresso its an event. It is when he takes a drive – once or twice weekly – in his Toyota to specifically have espresso, among using wi-fi, talking with friends and visiting the public library.
