On January 14, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences, announced the nominees for this years 88th Academy Awards, lovingly known as The Oscars. The nominated pictures, actors and actress are a diverse lot of films touching on a combination of real human stories adapted to film, moral triumphs and going against societal odds of its time.
