Well, one might be close to that feeling as Sundance comes to multiple cities in Utah to premiere a bevy of films. As people descend on snow, red carpets and movie theaters the collaborations that will involve the culture of coffee will be one development to keep an eye on. Last year, the cultural activity was a full slate worthy of attention in and this year, the lifestyle of watching films, conversating about them and keeping warm in lower temperatures will be the perfect environment to do the same. Given the proliferation of coffee shops in the borough of Brooklyn, a film named after one of its neighborhoods, Bushwick , will be an interesting to see as the plot navigates five blocks that become a war zone.

A ceremony, gala and marketplace comes to the food obsessed town of San Francisco to announce winners in the fourteen categories that make up the Good Food Awards. As the annual Good Food Awards convenes in San Francisco specialty coffee will have its moment in the Bay area sun as a brand becomes the winner among 25 finalists. Let there be coffee.

21, 22 | Knoxville, Tennessee: This top of the year can only mean one barista thing, a competition is brewing. The first of two qualifying barista competitions is coming. Starting in the town of 60 competitors take the stage and the espresso shot to compete to become the United States Barista Champion.
