Congrats are in order! I can’t even begin to think of the coffee shop and its history without the pivotal role of literature in it and about it.

Congratulations to Coffee House Press for one of its titles making The National Book Awards 5 under 35.  Its title is Faces in the Crowd by Valeria Luiselli.

The National Book Awards Week will begin with its annual party to honor this year’s 5 Under 35 authors at powerHouse Arena in DUMBO, Brooklyn on November 17. Come that day, powerHouse Arena will hold its annual party honoring the authors complete with, per the site, “Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, acclaimed musician and author of Mo’ Meta Blues, will host the event. Ben Greenman, an editor at The New Yorker and author, most recently, of The Slippage, will DJ, MC, and moderate a conversation among the young writers.”
